Ledum groenlandicum

Common Labrador Tea

Flower Top in Ground (8 stamens)

Hudson Bay Regional Park
19-June-2009

The number of stamens can vary between five and seven, and is even occasionally eight as in this photo.

I am following Flora of Alberta by treating L. groenlandicum and L. palustre as separate species.  Budd's Flora classifies the former as L. palustre var. latifolium the latter as L. palustre var. decumbens
