This species has both perfect and pistillate flowers. The flowers have five perianth lobes (sepals). Each sepal will develop a horizontal membranous wing or a slightly winged tubercle as it matures. These structures have not yet appeared in these flowers. Each perfect flower has five stamens and two or three stigmas.
