Each corpusculum is attached to one pollinium from each of the two adjacent anthers. The entire structure is called a pollinarium and is the unit of pollen dispersal, being carried to another flower by a pollinating insect. Each pollinium is a mass of pollen and is normally hidden from view by external tissue.
