Ledum groenlandicum
Common Labrador Tea
Flower Top in Ground (5 stamens)
Hudson Bay Regional Park
19-June-2009
This flower has five stamens. The number of stamens can vary between five and seven, and is even occasionally eight as in the other single-flower photo on this site.
I am following Flora of Alberta by treating L. groenlandicum and L. palustre as separate species. Budd's Flora classifies the former as L. palustre var. latifolium the latter as L. palustre var. decumbens.
