Flower Stage 1 - All Sepals Removed

North of Highway # 3 on Silica Sands Road,
33 km East of Hudson Bay

This specimen is still in bud.  Note the sepals (which are much larger than the petals) have been removed from this specimen. The petals are originally erect but become divergent as the flower matures. The stamens are also originally erect but become recurved as the flower matures. Note the yellow stigmatic disk.
