Chenopodium glaucum

Oak-Leaved Goosefoot

Early Flower Top (Five Sepals, Two Stamens)

North of Old Wives Lake
13-Aug-2018

The flowers from the specimen illustrated here apparently have three to five perianth lobes (sepals) even though the Flora of North America states there are three to four.

There are one or two stamens.  The Flora of North America states there is only one stamen but the Flora of China correctly states that there are one or two.

A key to all the Chenopodium species occurring in Saskatchewan is found here.  This key was derived from the key in the Flora of North America by removing all the non-Saskatchewan species. Another key to the Chenopodium species written by Diana Bizecki Robson is found here.
